DENTAL BRIDGES
A bridge is used to replace a missing tooth or teeth and uses the surrounding teeth as support. In this way, a prosthetic tooth or teeth is held in place using the natural teeth surrounding it as a kind of anchor
TYPES OF BRIDGE
There are a number of different bridge types. A Maryland/adhesive uses a frame of either metal or porcelain and is attached to the back of the surrounding teeth.
A cantilever bridge only needs one natural tooth to use as a support.
A fixed-fixed bridge needs full coverage support from teeth either side of the gap.
There are benefits to every type of bridge available, but the right one for you will depend on your own unique circumstances. If you think you’re in need of a bridge, then please get in touch with us.
